Thursday Evening, May 23, 2013

Energy Policy Institute
The University of Chicago, Hyde Park Campus

1155 E. 60th Street, Chicago IL 60637 (773) 702-0560

Robert Rosner, Co Director of the Energy Policy Institute at Chicago (EPIC) discussed Energy Policy that enables countries to move into the 21st century by tripling the World’s energy supply.

The World and United States are looking for alternative clean energy sources that are economically sustainable and environmentally safe. To address the challenges, there are approximately 400 nuclear power plants being operated around the World. Other countries are planning to build and operate uranium and thorium power plants to meet their country’s growing demand for clean energy.

EPIC is an interdisciplinary research and training institute focused on the economic and social consequences of energy policies. For more information, please visit http://epic.uchicago.edu/about

People attending the meeting received one Professional Development Hour (PDH).
