Program: AEE Chicago Chapter Awards Banquet 
October is Energy Awareness Month. AEE Chicago Chapter takes this opportunity to recognize professional engineers, managers, and organizations for their outstanding achievements over the past year.  We encourage members to bring their spouses, associates, and friends to join the celebration.

Georges Malek, ComEd, will present "The ComEd Energy Efficiency Showcase of Homes" an innovative program within ComEd’s Customer Affordable Reliable Energy (CARE) program that incorporates practical “hands-on” experiences on how to conduct comprehensive energy efficiency makeovers in selected homes in the Chicagoland area. The improvements included repairing and upgrading existing windows, air-sealing and insulating walls and attics, replacing existing inefficient boilers, furnaces, and air-conditioners with ultra high efficiency units, and installing CFL bulbs. The average projected electric savings is 19% and projected natural gas savings is 33%. Narrated video clips are provide as web-based learning tools for making energy improvements to people's homes.
