Program: Green Power & the Modern Grid

IEEE Fox Valley Subsection, Chicago Section, the EMC Society & AEE Chicago Chapter invite you to the outstanding attend. The speaker will be Jerry Ramie who is a 26-year veteran of the EMC, communications and power industries and has authored six books on substation EMC for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI).

He will be discussing the aging, overloaded, and unstable power grid that is incapable of meeting the power quality needs of the Information Economy and various roadmaps for alternatives for improving the power grid. The Federal Government's recently proposed economic stimulus package contains about $60 billion for the smart grid and green power investments during the next two years.
